Six Tips That Every Electrician Should Know

1.    What is self switching and self restoring?

When the main power supply is in normal condition, the main power supply is automatically put into use, and the standby power supply is standby; When the main power supply loses power, the control device disconnects the main power supply circuit breaker, the standby power circuit breaker is closed, and the standby power supply works; When the main power supply restores the power supply, the control device disconnects the standby power supply circuit breaker, the main power circuit breaker is closed, and the main power circuit breaker is restored to power supply.

2.    What are alternate functions?

When the main power supply is in normal condition, the main power supply is automatically put into use, and the standby power supply is standby. When the main power supply fails or loses power, the standby power supply is put into use. If the main power supply is back to normal, it will no longer automatically switch to the main power supply. The power supply can only be switched to the main power supply only when the artificial switching or standby power failure or loss of power occurs.

3.    What is overload?

Overload refers to the actual load exceeding the rated load.

This is mostly due to electrical equipment increased, the power consumption exceeds the capacity approved by the power supply enterprise or the design use capacity of the electric circuit, which will result in burning of metering device and electric equipment.

4.    What is overload protection?

When the circuit current exceeds the rated value, according to the amplitude beyond the set of different action time limit, and can avoid the motor start and the like short-term overload.

5.     what is a short circuit?

In a normal power supply circuit, the current flows through the wire and the electrical load, and then goes back to the power supply to form a closed loop. But if in the circuit that the current passes through, two wires are touched together, or by other small resistance objects short circuited, this is called short circuit.

6.     What is short circuit protection?

Short circuit protection means that the power supply can be cut off quickly and reliably after the short circuit fault occurs in the electrical circuit, so as to avoid the damage to the electrical equipment caused by the short circuit current.
